The Receipts API

Claims are cheap. Receipts are not.

Independent, dated verification, sold to businesses. Every check produces a receipt: what was claimed, what source it was checked against, on what date, with a verdict and a hash.

Real numbers. No hype. Receipts.

The Receipts API is the paid side of an independent proof layer built for the AI age, when anything can be generated and little can be trusted on sight. The unit of work is a receipt: a dated, primary-sourced attestation that a specific claim was checked against its source on a specific date, recorded with a verdict and a hash. The free public records live under The Receipts Index. The Receipts API is how that verification is sold to businesses, and the people and companies we independently rate never pay us a cent.

Why independence

Independence is the whole product. We take no money from anything we independently rate. If a receipt says a claim held up, that is because the source said so, not because anyone paid for the answer. Verified by Receipts sits behind the same firewall: a customer buys continuous checking of its own claims, and an unfavorable verdict gets published just like a favorable one. A verification service that can be bought is worthless. One that cannot is the moat.

The proof

The Claim Assay has been run on Betterment's public claims. Six claims were checked against SEC and FINRA records, and all six were substantiated. Two headline metrics were correctly graded with a dated caveat, and the assay caught a stale brochure link. The Stablecoin Punctuality Ledger is live as a dated record. Its current finding: Tether reports quarterly, which would not meet the coming monthly rule.

Who it is for

Compliance and legal teams that need dated evidence a communication was checked. Fintech and crypto firms watching disclosure rules tighten. Businesses that want their own claims to stand on verification, not assertion. Researchers, journalists, and builders who need a dated, primary-sourced corpus they can cite or build on.
